The English Chamber Orchestra is proud to become the Orchestra-in-Partnership at Christ’s Hospital School in West Sussex. This project will begin in March with some side-by-side and one-to-one tuition culminating in the annual Angus Ross Memorial Concert which will take place at Christ’s Hospital on Sunday 24 March. The ECO hopes this collaboration will inspire the next generation of musicians from this wonderfully unique school.
Our Orchestra Manager, Fabio Sarlo (a former pupil of Christ’s Hospital), is pictured alongside the school’s Headmaster Simon Reid, Director of Music Alex Hodgkinson and some of the very talented musicians that will benefit from this partnership.
‘Christ’s Hospital has pioneered social mobility and challenged social inequality to provide an unrivalled start in life for disadvantaged children for nearly five centuries. As economic and social inequality continue to grow in the UK, Christ’s Hospital’s mission is ever more relevant. By providing first class, free or supported education to talented young people from disadvantaged and modest backgrounds, Christ’s Hospital helps them to reach their full potential and transforms lives in a way that no other educational establishment in the UK can match.’
