Rave reviews for flautist Ana de la Vega and ECO

Flautist Ana de la Vega is flying high after some wonderful reviews of her CD album recorded with the orchestra of Mozart’s Flute Concertos in G major (K313) and D major (K314) with Josef Mysliveček’s recently discovered Flute Concerto in D major.

This July, the CD received worldwide acclaim, including an outstanding review in Spiegel Online and was chosen as CD of the week on both the UK’s Classic FM and Germany’s NDR radio stations.

NDR Kultur says that her interpretation of the classical flute concertos ‘would certainly have inspired Mozart’, while Gramophone’s August issue commends the orchestra’s support and how its use of ‘a range of tone colours (the muted central movement of the G major First Concerto is a particular highlight) match de la Vega’s recreative imagination.’

The CD has been released on PENTATONE and is available to purchase here.
