ECO Friends and Patrons

An open letter from the General Manager

Dear All,

Your support of the English Chamber Orchestra can make a difference

We hope you are keeping safe and well in these extraordinary times.

With the government stopping all public gatherings the English Chamber
Orchestra has had to take drastic action and has cancelled all concerts until
31 July with the knowledge this may be extended further. It’s never easy
being a professional musician, particularly now but with your help the English
Chamber Orchestra Charitable Trust can continue to support the orchestra in
funding concerts, encouraging young musical talent and its schools outreach work.

Furthermore the orchestra will have reached its sixtieth year next
year. We hope you agree this is a remarkable milestone and is testament
to the Founding Members values and beliefs.

The Charitable Trust’s goals this year are to support the orchestra in:

* a shortened but nevertheless exciting 2020/21 London season which includes a concert in the Royal Festival Hall on 3rd February 2021 with Pinchas Zukeman as soloist/conductor;

* a celebratory gala concert in the summer of 2021;

* to expand its hugely popular schools outreach programme.

There are three ways you can support the Charity:

  1. Become a Friend or Patron of the Orchestra (see below)
  2. Corporate/personal donation
  3. Sponsorship

With your help the English Chamber Orchestra Charitable Trust can
build on its wonderful heritage of working with many of the world’s greatest
musicians and encouraging young, talented musicians at the start of their
careers. Your contribution will also help maintain the orchestra’s long
and proud independence as it is entirely funded by, the generosity of
donors, corporate sponsors, subscriptions and ticket sales.

In summary, the orchestra’s mission is one of growth and excellence in everything it does for the next sixty years and
beyond. Why not join us for the journey?

Thank you.
