Leader Stephanie Gonley directs a thrilling programme celebrating English music, including Tippett’s Concerto for Double String Orchestra.

We are joined by Oboist Albrecht Meyer who performs Handel’s Concerto for Oboe d’Amore ‘Verdi Prati’ and Vaughan Williams’ Concerto for Oboe in A Minor.

Albrecht Mayer is the principal oboe of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and also enjoys a flourishing solo career, playing with some of the world’s leading ensembles. He is known for his sweet, rounded tone and passion for exploring chamber repertoire both old and new.
